How to recreate the "Principal" wallet and change the Multicert account

These functionalities are only available for Issuer operators.

Problem description

When you first log in to the Multicert authentication page, an association is created and stored between your Multicert account and the "Principal" wallet in Sign'Stash. This association simplifies the process of registering future certificates, eliminating the need for new authentications.

However, it also means that you cannot use another Multicert account to register certificates in the "Principal" wallet.

Solution

If you need to use a different Multicert account for the "Principal" wallet, follow the steps below to remove the existing association and set up a new account.

1. Delete certificates associated with the "Principal" wallet

Access Sign'Stash: Log into your Sign'Stash Backoffice account.

Locate the "Certificates" option: In the sidebar, find the "Certificates" option.

Delete all certificates associated with the "Principal" wallet: Access the certificates associated with the "Principal" wallet and delete them all. This step is necessary to free up the wallet for recreation.

2. Delete the "Principal" wallet

Locate the "Add Certificates" option: In the sidebar, find the "Add Certificates" option.

Locate the "Manage Wallets" option: In the central panel, find the "Manage Wallets" option.

Locate the "Existing Wallets" option: In the "Wallet Management" pop-up, find the "Principal" wallet.

Delete the "Principal" wallet: After removing all certificates, select the option to delete the "Principal" wallet.

Note that this step will remove the current association between the wallet and your Multicert account.

3. Recreate the "Principal" Wallet

Locate the "New Wallet" option: In the "Wallet Management" pop-up, find the form in the "New Wallet" panel and insert “Principal” as the wallet name.

4. Register the certificate

Start the registration process: Begin the certificate registration process for the new "Principal" wallet.

Authenticate with the new Multicert account: During registration, you will be redirected to the Multicert authentication page. Log in with the new Multicert account that you want to associate with the "Principal" wallet.

After following these steps, the new "Principal" wallet will be associated with the new Multicert account, and you will be able to register certificates using this account. This procedure ensures that each wallet in Sign'Stash is linked to the desired Multicert account.
